All of a sudden I realize I'm running in all directions With nowhere to go Nowhere at all I'm gone I messed up With the starring role, Practiced for hours Walking into opening night I'm gone Standing on the stage I forgot my lines With the prompter running late I see nothing but lights And hear nothing but silence I'm gone To run was not my intention But what do you do When the only line you can remember Is two short words? I'm gone And to be alone was not my intention But what do you do When your entire script Is only two short words? I'm gone |
